Riding Instructors

Pictured: Ali Caln (A.C.) and Donna competing. A.C. was a registered half-Arabian that Donna trained and competed through Intermediate I. They won numerous National and breed awards for their accomplishments.
Donna is a USDF Silver Medalist, having shown and ridden Nationally thru the FEI levels. She has a Riding Master Certificate, Bachelor of Equestrian Science, and was awarded a USET scholarship to study dressage in Europe. She has taught several college programs and is an Intermediate Centered Riding Instructor.
Donna currently enjoys traveling and judging horse shows, with licensees in Arabian, Dressage, Western, and Western Dressage. She owns and operates a small boarding facility in Longview, WA where she teaches Dressage, jumping, western, and other disciplines. She is also involved with Pony Club, and the Interscholastic Equestrian Association.
Donna's moto has always been “Dressage as a Foundation for ALL riding”. She enjoys the study of biomechanics as it relates to riding, training, and performance. Donna has more than 40 years of experience teaching, judging and training behind her.

Autumn Kushner is a true horse lover. Teaching from classical riding principles, she emphasizes proper biomechanics and true partnership. A lifelong learner herself, Autumn has her Master’s in Equine Behavior and her Bachelors’ degrees in comparative psychology and integrated physics & physiology. Autumn has been teaching equestrians of all levels and skills, from casual riders to top competitors, for over a decade. She is a trail sports judge, a certified therapy animal trainer, and works part time with a team of international equine researchers. She will help you understand partnership with horses on a deeper level, while having a blast!
